Heading away on holiday is exciting, but we know ensuring your fur-babies are happy and secure is your top priority. To help peace of mind set in the moment you lock the front door, here is a quick checklist of the essentials to prep before your pet care service begins!
1. Food, Treats, and Medication 🍲
- Please ensure there is more than enough food, treats, and any necessary medications to last the entire duration of your trip (plus a little extra, just in case of travel delays!).
- Leave clear, written instructions on exact portion sizes, feeding times, and how medication should be administered.
2. The Golden Book of Details 📝
Even though we do a thorough Meet & Greet, having the vital details written down on the kitchen counter is a lifesaver. Please leave a note with:
- Your emergency contact number and holiday address.
- An emergency local contact (a nearby friend, family member, or neighbour) who has a spare key.
- Your vet’s details and confirmation that they know you are away.
3. Collar, Lead, and ID Tags 🐕
- For our dog walking and sitting clients, please leave your preferred leads, harnesses, and walking gear in an obvious, easy-to-grab spot.
- Double-check that ID tags are secure and up to date.
4. Cleaning Supplies and the Essentials 🧼
- Please leave out your usual pet cleaning supplies, a roll of kitchen towel, and make sure the poo bag dispenser or litter scoop is right where it needs to be. We love keeping your home as tidy as we found it!
5. Home Comforts & Secure Access 🔑
- If there are specific rooms your pets aren't allowed in, or certain quirks about your doors, locks, or alarms, just leave us a quick note.
- Don't forget to leave out their favourite comfort toys or blankets so they feel entirely at ease while you're away!
